We are seeking a proficient Design Engineer to produce electrical distribution network designs using CAD software. The role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and creativity to deliver designs compliant with relevant IDNO and DNO specifications and client requirements.
The Role:
The Design Engineer is responsible for the creation of detailed and feasible electrical network designs from client information and point of connection offers. This involves applying technical knowledge to meet specific requirements and industry standards.
Main Responsibilities:
To produce designs ready for submission for IDNO/DNO approval.
To ensure compliance with all ICP Services design policies; ENA documents and regulatory documents.
To identify all H&S issues at design stage.
To produce schematic diagrams from basic philosophy and engineers’ sketches.
Identify technical issues and review solutions with the client.
Produce legal plans and instructions as required.
Provide technical advice and assistance to other members of staff.
To ensure procurement of goods and services is carried out to DNO specification.
To provide the required level of management and control.
Project management of ICP Services staff, subcontractors and works as required.
Provide regular reports for senior management.
Support senior management in order to maximise income and profit.
Where necessary to ensure compliance with legislated requirements.
Ensure compliance with Company Policies and Procedures.
